Sturry Fundays Weekend 2025
After the success of last year’s Sturry Sunday Funday we are being more ambitious this year and are planning events from Friday 13 June to Sunday 15th. With the support of Sturry Church and Sturry Parish Council, we will be holding an arts and crafts-themed fair on the Saturday, a classical guitar concert by the acclaimed musician Bob Drury in St Nicholas Church on the Friday evening and a talk in the church on Sunday afternoon. Our first leaflet for Sturry and Broad Oak
Thanks to some concentrated funding and the dedicated help of our committee and volunteers, Sabora has now distributed 2000 welcome leaflets across Broad Oak and Sturry. Election Hustings announced for Sturry and Broad Oak
As you may already be aware, Sturry and Broad Oak are no longer in the Canterbury Parliamentary Constituency. We are now part of Herne Bay and Sandwich. We encourage everyone to vote on July 4th, and as a residents’ association endeavour to remain non-political. Sturry and Broad Oak Walking Group
Sabora are pleased to announce that our Walking Group is now up and …err…running! Would you like to join a mindful walking group? Many of our walks will be suitable for most people and children, dogs etc lasting an hour, but some will be more of a stretch, for example walking to Blean Woods to see the Bison, using local footpaths and fields.
